2 Peter 3:1-7 NKJV Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), 2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of Yahveh the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
The apostle Peter had reason to come back to these people and remind them of the perilous time that they lived in. To remind them that there was people coming that were going to try to discourage them from believing the promises of Yahveh's word. The unchangeable fact is that Yahshua is going to return this earth to receive those who looked for His coming for them. I believe Peter would have considered that time a secure time as compared to the time we live in today. There are very few things in this world that do not change. The only thing that is unchanging in this world today is Almighty Yahveh and His word.
I am amazed at a people that can feel secure in a world that changes like the weather. My precious Saints there is only one thing you can be assured of and that is Almighty Yahveh is on the throne and He is not in the least bit insecure about the outcome of this world or when it is going to come to an end. There is no security in this world apart from Av yahveh through Yahshua Ha Mesheach.
There is a storm coming and you desperately need to take shelter. I am totally amazed at a people that seem to ignore the reality of their situation as this generation does exactly that, they seem to ignore every warning My precious brother and sister you must look around you and heed the warnings. You must be able to read the signs and understand Disaster and destruction is all around you and you trust government to fix it for you. You are off in La La land picking the daisies living in the lust of the flesh. In your heart saying "He is not coming back in my life time". There are very few certainties in this world and one of them is that Yahshua is coming again and He will gather His to Himself. He will not tarry for a long time yet. The world is in such a mess, theres but one hope and that is Yahshua Ha Mesheach.
People there is only one fix for this world and that is our Saviour coming back and taking command of it all. However we have to occupy until he returns to be with us.
Yahshua is going to return and rule this earth and He is going to rule with a rod of Iron. There is not going to be the murder, rape and robbery that goes on today. There will be peace and there will peace that lasts. Not only are we going to have peace we are going to have lasting peace forever.
Peace does not come without a cost. Everything that makes a lie will be destroyed by the brightness of His coming. Every rebellion will be put down. All those that are not His at His coming will be destroyed. There won't be any fence riders, who can't make up their mind whose side they are on. You will ether be on the side of Yahshua or be destroyed by the brightness of his coming. You will either be practicing righteousness or you will be practicing that which maketh a lie.
People I don't see any Gray areas here. You are gathering or you are scattering. If you are gathering then you will be at His side, if not then you must be scattering.
My precious brother or sister please do not be foolish and unmotivated, just because you are scattering today doesn't mean that you have to be scattering tomorrow. We are living in an awesome age of facts. We can research almost any subject we desire and come up with facts about almost any time in History including Biblical times. Too many are content to be discouraged by the demonic naysayers who look for excuses for not adhering to the truth rather than searching out the truth. My precious saint it is the truth that will set you free, so be a truth seeker and be free.
